RSOL Designer Showhouse 2008

My colleagues and I at Williams and Sherrill designed the living room for the 2008 Richmond Symphony Designer Showhouse. We were extremely pleased with the outcome. We also loved the Trompe L'oeil ceiling that decorative painter Erika Vaden custom painted for us

This is the fireplace in the grand living room. We custom designed the fireplace screen in a faric to match the other upholstery. It hard to tell in the phot but in the vases we glued glass flowers and leaves...the juxtoposition of the formal vases and glass flowers with the unconstructed branches was amazing.

For the main seating area we flanked the fireplace with matching tufted velvet sofas. We had a great time picking fabrics for the custom pillows. For a coffee table we used 3 antique mirrored end tables together.

We really had to be creative with the window treatments. We didnt want to cover up the beautiful arches but because of the size of the room the windows had to have some strength. The homeowner had already done the gold leafing on the moulding so we chose formal hardware that really complimented the beautiful moulding detail.
